Summerville, SC 29485 843-628-5021 tom@mrlowcountry.com Class A CDL Truck Drivers, Charleston, SC area Position Summary The company has developed and grown from a small fabrication and welding shop with limited specialized facilities to its current status of a corporation with excellent facilities, management and technical expertise, experience, and overall capability for accomplishing minor repair tasks to major structural fabrication and steel erection. Our client is seeking a Class A CDL Truck Driver. This hands-on position requires a desire and ability to work as an integral part of a multidisciplinary team, as well as the demonstration of a high degree of flexibility, creativity, and initiative applied to the various duties and aspects of the position. This person will be expected to play an integral part of the company. The safety of our customers, subcontractors, and personnel are first and foremost. We have an extensive safety program, including regular safety surveys and inspections. The company offers competitive wages, benefits package, vacation, including a 401(k). Responsibilities: This individual will be making local deliveries/pick-ups. Deliver products to customers safely and efficiently while operating commercial motor vehicles. Required Qualifications: Must hold a Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a favorable driving record. Required Minimum 5 years of flatbed & lowboy experience for hauling heavy equipment. Required Must be able to load/tie down/unload each trip. Must have excellent customer service skills. Must be able to read, write and communicate. Requires strong problem-solving skills. Must be able to lift, push/pull heavy weight (up to 100 lbs.) throughout the shift, twist, turn, climb, and reach frequently. Operate vehicle in a variety of traffic and weather conditions. Drivers are home daily, with possible overnight stays occasionally. Must pass a Pre-Employment and Drug Test Other duties as assigned. Benefits 401K option offered after one (1) year. Paid vacation is offered after one (1) year. Pay will be based on experience and qualifications. Health/Life/Dental/Vision Insurance available after sixty (60) days.
